Who We Are

Sunshine Baptist Church was established in March, 1954. Thirty people met early in 1954 using the old Logan School House as their meeting place. This group along with ten others that joined with them, officially organized as Sunshine Baptist Church March 14, 1954 with a charter membership of 40. Much has taken place in the last fifty-plus years and we still stand on the hill seeking to be a light of hope to the community around us.

MISSION STATEMENT

Because “God so loved the world…,” in joy and celebration we will be:

Worshipers of God who created and sustains all (Heb. 12:28)

Engaged in loving service to all (1 Peter 4:8-10)

Disciples of Jesus who desires to be Lord of all (John 15:8)

Sharers of the good news of Jesus with all (Matt. 28:19-20)

“…the Bride belongs to the Bridegroom…” (John 3:29a)

We are an autonomous Baptist church with affiliations at the local, state and national levels. We are affiliated with Greene County Baptist Association, Missouri Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.
